www.arcadenation.com home of GALT, the Gameboy Advance Learning Tool - Created in 2002 by Ian Edmundson.

Welcome to the GALT homepage. GALT is a Gameboy Advance emulator that allows you to run Gameboy Advance games/applications online. Development is now underway for a Playstation2 version of the emulator/learning tool. A downloads section contains a number of tools for various platforms (expect this to grow over time, as development progresses on this new version of the emulator). The emulator comes with a couple of pre-packaged Roms. Try the RUN GALT link and see for yourself. The only requirement is that you have a display capable of 1024x768.Information on the internal components of the Gameboy Advance can be viewed on the DOCS page.

15/10/2002: Added another GBA disassembler to the DOWNLOADS section. This version is written in Java. I have also updated the online version of the emulator by adding in this new disassembler module.
14/10/2002: A long needed update to the page. A new DOWNLOADS section has been added to the webpage. I have uploaded versions of a standalone command-line ARM7TDMI-S disassembler for Linux (i386/mips), and Dos/Win. The disassemblers are meant for GBA executable images, and as such, do not provide coprocessor instruction support. Expect a standalone Java version by the weekend (once I have ironed out a couple of bugs in the Java code-gen script). Development of GALT-PS2 is now underway, with these disassemblers marking the start of the project. I have a few new ideas for improvement over the online version. Expect the online version to improve during the development of the PS2 version (Both versions have large parts of their implementation code generated from the same specification). Please let me know if you do find any errors in the assembler output of these new disassemblers, as these errors will most probably be present in both the online, and PS2 versions of the emulator. 25/04/2002: Fixed applet closedown problem. Found a bug resulting in the removal of the breakpoint functionality (for now). Uploaded register documentation, and link pages.
19/04/2002: Web page created as holder for GALT, the Gameboy Advance Learning Tool project.
